Dong Yi confess to everything. The scholars want the King to punish Dong Yi by execution, but he refuses. Then, Dong Yi’s son is dead because he has measles. Soon after, the King decides on the punishment. Cheon Soo is exiled and Dong Yi is sent out of the palace. The King vow to never meet her again. One night, the drunken King arrives at Dong Yi’s new home. He then vows to never go back but then hears that she is pregnant. Later, Dong Yi has a son and the King named him Geum. Six years later, Dong Yi and Geum live with the commoners.
